BUSINESS ADVISORY CENTRE, GHANA ENTERPRISE AGENCY, AND MASTERCARD FOUNDATION PROVIDED EQUIPMENT TO 100 GRADUATES
The Business Advisory Centre, in Collaboration with Ghana Enterprise Agency and the MasterCard Foundation, Provides Equipment to 100 Graduates in Kwabre East Municipality
On October 10, 2024, the Business Advisory Centre, in partnership with the Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA) and the MasterCard Foundation, provided equipment to 100 graduates in the Kwabre East Municipality after their successful training.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Francis Kyei, the Municipal Coordinating Director, expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to making the event memorable. He congratulated the 100 trainees who had completed their training in various fields, including fashion design, hairdressing, welding, steel bending, masonry, tailoring, catering, and plumbing.
Mr. Eric Oti Nyarko, representing Madam Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, CEO of GEA, highlighted the significance of the “Business in a Box” project. This four-year initiative, launched in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation and championed by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is aimed at empowering youth with dignified and sustainable employment opportunities.
He emphasized that Kwabre East was fortunate to be among the beneficiaries of this initiative. Since its inception in 2017, the project has created over 19,471 jobs, with nearly 16,000 of these positions held by women. This milestone underscores the commitment of GEA and the MasterCard Foundation to fostering entrepreneurship across Ghana.
