Central Administration

The Central Administration Department of the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly coordinates the effective implementation of government policies, programmes, and development projects across the municipality. The department plays a central role in guiding policy formulation, planning, and decision-making within the Assembly, and ensures that development plans align with national policies and the overall development agenda of government.

Central Administration also serves as the key coordination and liaison unit between the Assembly and other governmental and non-governmental institutions operating in Kwabre East. It facilitates communication and collaboration between the Heads of Departments, development partners, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to ensure effective service delivery and efficient administration. In addition, the department manages the Assembly's financial, administrative, and human resources, working closely with the Municipal Chief Executive to ensure resources support development programmes and municipal operations.

The Head of the Central Administration Department, who serves as the Municipal Coordinating Director, performs several important roles. These include acting as the Secretary to the Assembly, chairing the Municipal Planning and Coordinating Unit (MPCU), and serving as the principal advisor to the Municipal Chief Executive on administrative and technical matters. The department also focuses on capacity building and staff development, ensuring that the knowledge, skills, and competencies of Assembly staff are continuously strengthened to improve institutional performance and service delivery within Kwabre East Municipality.
