DISTRICT ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME (DRIP)

On September 12, 2024, the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly inaugurated the District Road Improvement Programme. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Opoku Bonsu, commended the NPP government for its efforts in providing the district with all the necessary equipment.

He announced that personnel had been recruited to operate the equipment, with 25 individuals currently undergoing training at Akumadan. The newly acquired equipment includes one bulldozer, one roller, one water tanker truck, and an additional 20 water tanks. The MCE assured the public that all roads in the district have been constructed, with the remaining ones set to be completed in the coming weeks. He also stated that all issues concerning the Ahwiaa Township had been resolved at the assembly office.

The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Kwabre East, Hon. Onyina Gyamfi, welcomed all dignitaries and echoed the MCE’s appreciation for the NPP government’s contributions to the district. He emphasized that these resources were not exclusive to Kwabre East but were part of a nationwide initiative benefiting other districts as well.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of proper maintenance of the machinery to ensure their durability for the next 15 to 20 years. He urged the assigned personnel to prioritize the upkeep of the equipment to maximize its long-term benefits.
