SITUATIONAL REPORT ASHANTI REGIONAL COMMANDER OF THE IMMIGRATION SERVICE VISITS KWABRE EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY.

On Friday, the 29th of January 2021, the Ashanti Regional Commander of the Ghana Immigration Service, ACI Charles Yaw Bediako, accompanied by Superintendent Komla Fialatey, Ashanti Regional Staff Officer and ASI Coleman, Head of Administration, paid a working visit to the Mamponteng Immigration Command.

The Officer in Charge of Mamponteng Command, DSI Citizen Nkansah together with his men welcomed them with a guard of honour and ushered the team to the Municipal Assembly Building to meet up with the Municipal Chief Executive and his Directors.

The Municipal Coordinating Director of the Assembly, Mr. Bediako Brempong Asare welcomed the team to the Assembly. He used the opportunity to inform the Commander about the absence of the Municipal Chief Executive. Mr. Bediako told the Commander that, the assembly will also find time to visit the Regional Command. He concluded by expressing his gratitude to the commander and his team for their visit.

A meeting was held between the Regional Commander and the Immigration Officers in the Municipality. His address to officers present at the meeting touched on the core values and principles governing Officers of the Service.

He spoke about discipline of all officers and therefore should not be disregarded at all levels. He also spoke about the neatness and dressing of Officers which should depict that of a trained personnel.

He concluded with a word of caution to all Officers to try and wear a mask wherever they go in this era of Covid-19 to protect themselves against this deadly disease. Matters arising on this day saw a head count of all officers to establish the staff strength of the Command and details of officers who have spent more than four (4) years in the Command.
