THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF KWABRE EAST ASSEMBLY HON. OPOKU AGYMANG BONSU TOGETHER WITH HIS LORDSHIP ANNIN YEBOAH AND HONOURABLE FRANCISCA OTENG MENSAH OFFICIALLY COMMISSIONED NTONSO COURT HOUSE.
The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu, his Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah and Honorable Francisca Oteng Menash (MP) jointly commissioned Ntonso court house on 25th June, 2023. Some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion were His Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah The chief Justice of the Republic Ghana, Coordination Director Mr. Isaac Kwame Elimah, Her Ladyship Deborah Donkoh Migistrate Mamponteng, Prof. Kofi Ohene Konadu lecturer University of Ghana, Nana Kwadwo Fordjour Ntonso Adako Abusuapanin, Mr. Kofi Frimpong Regional Director Legal Aid, Municipal Police Commander Superintendent Set Eyako Kububor, Rev. Stephen Baffour Gyima, Ahmed Abdullah Chief Imam and Hon. Assembly members from that zone, all heads of Departments and agencies graced the occasion successfully.
Addressing the occasion Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu thanked everyone for making inauguration memorable, His appreciation also goes to his Lordship, the Chief Justice of the Republic and the leadership of the judiciary Service for working tirelessly towards the achievement of this noble dream. He said that it is very important for the people of Kwabre East and the entire country to have such two great historic Edifice in our Municipality, because a place where they don’t regard laws there is no cohesion and there is no peace.
Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, MP for the Kwabre East Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Gender Minister in her short but impressive address said that today is very memorable day for the people of Kwabre East, this is the second court they are getting in the constituency, she said Kwabre East is fortunate because upon all the 275 Constituencies in Ghana only Kwabre East has received two nice Edifice, one in Mamponteng and other one also at Ntonso this tell us that we are the backbones of this government.
Hon. Francisca Mensah used the Opportunity to thanked His Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah for remembering Kwabre East for given us this wonderful Edifice, According to Honorable this is not small project, this is a project that indeed a lot has gone into it and we must commence it together, She also thanked His Excellency the president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo –Addo for his support and everything and even funding for this nice project. She therefore advised the citizen of Kwabre and the citizen of Ntonso and anybody who will be using this Edifice to make sure we maintain it so that it will serves other generations, And also to take good care of this property because maintainer’s culture is very important.
Nana Kwadwo Fordjour Ntonso Adako Abusuapanin in his short remarked thanked the current President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, his Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah and also Prof. Kofi Ohene Konadu a native and lecture form University of Ghana. According to Nana Kwadwo, Professor Kofi Ohene Konadu who is a native from Ntonso came to him some time ago that the Government want a place to construct a court house, Nana said he did not denied the professor because they need development in their community so he quickly showed him a big land to be used to construct the Court house.
Nana Kwadwo Fordjour thanked Professor once again for his magnificent contribution towards the development of the Ntonso Court House. Nana said professor should continue lobe especially for the people of Ntonso, because he has a big land he would offered for any governmental project in order to create employment for the youth in the community.
The Chief Justice Annin Yeboah, in his address thanked Nananom for releasing land for this project he also thanked Professor Kofi Ohene Konadu a native from this town for his inviolable assistant towards the rectification for this project. The court is here to serve us, this is how confident the court process and we should made good use of the facility. His Lordship also said that the court we have inaugurated today meet the standard of utility and mobility amount others are the solar power, a standby generator for uninterrupted power supply and borehole to ensure regular water in the court house.
According to his Lordship, Court house are the national asset which mirror the important attached to the rule of law and government. It is for this reason that he edge the court users in particular and asked who will be working here to ensure the highest maintenance culture for both the facility and the equipment. And also ensure the right things are done to prevent financial loss.
