COMMISSIONING OF A THREE-UNIT KG CLASSROOM BLOCK AND A MECHANISED BOREHOLE AT YASORE

The commissioning marked a significant milestone in the community’s efforts to improve access to basic education, as Yasore has received its first government basic school.
For many years, the absence of a basic school in the community compelled children to travel to neighbouring Asenua to access education. This situation exposed pupils to road safety risks and, in some cases, affected regular school attendance.
In response to these challenges, the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly constructed the three-unit KG classroom block and provided a mechanized borehole to improve access to education and safe water for the school community.
Addressing the gathering, the MCE, Hon. Joseph Amankwah, explained that the Assembly prioritized the project in response to concerns about the safety and welfare of children who had to commute daily to Asenua to attend school. He emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for children in the municipality
