The Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has organised a Child Protection Sensitization Exercise as part of its commitment to safeguarding children's rights and promoting their welfare across the municipality.
The exercise aimed to raise awareness of the importance of protecting children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and harmful practices. It also highlighted the responsibilities of parents, caregivers, community leaders, and other stakeholders in creating safe and supportive environments for children.
Participants were sensitised on the need to identify and report cases of child abuse, promote access to education, and ensure that children grow up in environments that support their safety, development, and well-being.
The sensitization also emphasised the importance of collaboration among families, communities, relevant institutions, and social welfare authorities in addressing child protection concerns and ensuring that children's rights are respected.
