CHEF EXECUTIVE (MCE) OFFICALLY COMMISSIONED PROJECTS IN KWABRE EAST MUNICIPALITY
The Kwabre East Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu and the Assembly together with some dignitaries has jointly commissioned two projects in the Kwabre East Municipality on Thursday 6th 2022, at Antoa, 3 Unit teacher’s quarters and Adanwomase Seven-unit lockable stores and 80 open sheds (stall) market.

A short ceremony was held at the assembly hall for inauguration of 3-unit teacher’s quarters with kitchen, toilet and bath. It was constructed by Dr. Obeng constructions and he handed over the keys to municipal Education Director.
Addressing the occasion, the Municipal chief Executive Hon Opoku Agyemang Bonsu noted that, the facilities were part of the policies of the Kwabre East to better the living condition of teachers in the area especially those in rural communities. Hon Opoku Agyemang urged teacher in the municipal to work hard to complement the government’s efforts of raising standards improving access, and providing quality and affordable education in the country.
According to the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu said that this is not the first time they helped the Antoa Senior High, he emphasis that, the Headmistress informed him there was shortage of chairs and because of that teaching and learning is unbearable to some students so he and the Assembly quickly donated 400 dual desks to Antoa Senior High School to help the students to feel comfortable when learning and also excel.
Mr. Baafi who is the NPP constituency chairman of the Kwabre East Municipality also advised the beneficiaries and head of the respective institution to cultivate maintenance culture, that enable the facilities serve their intended purpose, and help improve the living standard of the people in the Kwabre East municipality and the young.
Furthermore, Madam Cornalia Adama who is the Monitory and inspection Director of Education in the Municipality praise Hon Opoku Agyemang Bonsu and the President Akuffo- Addo for providing Antoa Senior High Teacher’s quarters. She stressed that she would be glad if more quarters would be provided to enable enough teachers to stay in the school because if teaching and learning progresses, discipline must be the ultimate key. if students are together their attitude are different, and if they are alone their altitude is also be different, that is why we are pleading with the MCE and NPP government to provide more quarter’s to enable teachers to stay in the campus to help the Headmistress to manage the school.
The headmistress of the school Mrs. Felicia Duah- Kyei on behalf of her colleagues, expressed their appreciation to Kwabre East Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly for this kind gesture all in the betterment of the teachers.
She assured the MCE, the Municipal Education Director and the entire community that, since they have thought of given them a place to have sound sleep, they are going to put their best to improve the academic standards of the students.
