MINISTRY OF GENDER, CHILDREN AND SOCIAL PROTECTION KWABRE EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ORGANIZED A PROGRAM ON COMMUNITY DIALOGUE AND SOCIAL PROTECTION DELIVELY IN GHANA.

Mrs. Francisca Oteng Mensah, MP for the Kwabre East Constituency who double as the deputy Minister of Gender Children and Social Protection and Social Welfare department on 10^th October, 2023 organized a program called “Community Dialogue on Social Protection Delivery in Ghana”. Some dignitaries who graced the occasion  Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah Deputy Minister of  MOGSCP, Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Kwame Elimah Municipal Coordinating Director, Dr. Charles Kesse  Office of the head of local government, Mrs. Ruth Nyarko Senior Program Officer of Gender, Mrs. Patricia Naya Regional Social Welfare Director, Samuel Boakye Marfo Principal Social Development Officer, Hair Dresser Association, Students and all heads of Department and agencies graced the occasion successful.
Addressing the occasion Municipal Chief Executive Hon Opoku Agyemang Bonsu thanked God Almighty for given us the grace to this special day of community dialogue on social protection to address the issues venerability  of poverty exclusion child abuse, Teenage pregnancy, child trafficking and other gaps that confronting us in our communities.

According to Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu he appreciative the initiative for coming down to the grass root level to engage all the social protection matters that involves status of view and concern for comprehensive approach tacking  social protection challenges that face Ghana  and then our Municipality particular. He stated that the records of the issues at social welfare at community development is much of grace concern, this issues raises from challenges with the person of disability, Child abuse, Teenage pregnancy, irresponsible parenting, prostitution among others. Although the social service sector is it best to handle social protection issues.

Hon. Opoku Agyemang stated that we gather here with the great concern so that at the end of these day this community dialogue will come out with all inclusive ideas to mitigate to various social protection concern that confront Ghanaian and then my municipality particular that is Kwabre East.
According to Hon. Francisca Oteng Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection (MOGCSP) main mission is exist to contribute to the development of the nation by achieving gender equality and equity, facilitate the enforcement of the Children, promote the integration and protection of the vulnerable, excluded and person with disabilities in the development process through appropriate policies and strategies with adequate resources.

Deputy Minister of MOGCSCP Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah stated that Gender Children and Social Protection has started a program where they have been in various Communities such as Ahafo, Yamfo DuaYaw Nkwanta, Tanoso and now we are in Kwabre East Mamponteng to engaged members within the community to let them know what the Ministry is doing and also sensitizing the public of some manes going on in our various Communities. On. Francisca Oteng Mensah  stated that Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection have decided to come down to the grass root level to discuss with individuals and members within the communities to let them know what is going on in our everyday lives, And how  Ministry decided to help individual in our communities. And also advice ourselves the bad things that are going on within our Society and how we can solved it. At the end of the program almost Six Hundred people attended (600) including some selected students from various SHS and JSH schools came.
