MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE HON. OPOKU AGYEMANG BONSU AND FRANCISCA OTENG MENSAH MP FOR KWABRE EAST PRESENTED A CHEQUE TO SIMMS SHS AND OUR LADY’S OF GRACE SHS FOR COMING FIRST AND THIRD FOR THIS YEAR’s ASHANTI REGIONAL INTER SCHOOL AND COLLEGES SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP (MILO GAMES).

The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu and Honorable Francisca Oteng Mensah (MP) for Kwabre East   on 10th August, 2023 Awarded Simms SHS for wining Ashanti Regional inter School and Colleges Soccer Championship Some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Education Director Nana Baffour Asare, Coordinating Director Mr. Kwame Elimah, Headmistress of Simms SHS, Rev. Father Sylvester Frimpong the Headmaster of Our lady of grace (OLAG) with Some Head of Department and  Assembly members

The Headmistress of Simms SHS soccer team and their technical team led by Sandra Boakye presented the trophy to the Municipal Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament.

The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu expressed his profound gratitude to both students and teachers especially players from Simms SHS for making Kwabre East proud. He also thanked our ladies of Grace Senior high for the third place.

Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu Stated that football is not only for entertaining but also an economic adventure that could develop and boost the country’s economic fortunes.

Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah thanks Simms Senior High for their impressive victory for wining this year inter School and Colleges championships Soccer games.  Hon MP Received the Trophy on behalf of captain and the technical team, the MP commended them for their meritorious effort and the honor for making Kwabre East proud. According to Honorable Francisca Oteng she said that we are here today to show our appreciation for your good performance you exhibited, she also thanked Our Ladies of grace Senior High School who came third in the tournament.

 Hon. Francisca Obeng Mensah noted that there was a lot of players in the constituency, and her prayer was that God should use this opportunity to open more doors for them. She said it’s a wake- up call for the losing teams and the non-participating teams to boost their player’s ability especially Antoa SHS who were eliminated in round sixteenth and Our Ladies of Grace SHS to win the trophy in the coming years. She thanked the head coach of Simms SHS Sandra Boakye the first female coach to wine Inter Schools and Colleges Football Championship in Ashanti for her spectacular Performance.
 Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah presented a cheque of Ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 10,000.00), a set of Jersey and two Football to Simms Senior High School for winning this year’s Ashanti Inter School Soccer Competition, she also gave Five thousand Ghana cedis (Gh₵5,000.00) a set of Jersey and football to our Lady of Grace who became third position. Antoa Senior high school who was eliminated in round sixteen also received an amount of One thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵1,000.00) a set of Jersey and football.
