THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF KWABRE EAST ASSEMBLY HON. OPOKU AGYMANG BONSU TOGETHER WITH HIS LORDSHIP ANNIN YEBOAH OFFICIALLY COMMISSIONED MAMPONTENG COURT HOUSE.
The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu and his Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah jointly commissioned Mamponteng court house on 27the March, 2023. Some of the dignitaries who graced the occasion His Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah The chief Justice of the Republic Ghana, Barima Saasi Ayeboafo II Chief of Mamponteng, Ashanti Region Minister Simon Osei Mensah, Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Set Eyako Kububor, Her Ladyship Deborah Donkor Magistrate Mamponteng District Court, Presiding Member Hon. George Oppong(ESQ), the Municipal Coordinating Director Baba Iddi, Hon. Fredrick Akwasi Baafi Vice Chairman NPP and all heads of Department unit and agencies graced the occasion successfully.
Addressing the occasion Municipal Chief Executive Hon Opoku Agyemang Bonsu thanked each and every one for being part with us today. He said on behalf of the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly, it’s a great pleasure to welcome all to the inauguration of Mamponteng Court House. His appreciation also goes to his Lordship, the Chief Justice of the Republic and the leadership of the judiciary Service for working tirelessly towards the achievement of this noble dream.
Again Hon. Opoku Agyemang also extend his deepest gratitude to the Chief and Elder of the Mamponteng traditional council for releasing a vast land for the construction of additional and utra- modern court house for this Municipality. He said that establishment of a new court house in the Municipality signifies the importance and commitment attached to rule of law and access to justice by NPP government.
Simon Osei Mensah Ashanti Regional Minister expressed his profound gratitude for the inauguration of this Court House at Mamponteng, he appreciate a lot, the good work Chif Justice is doing for motherland especially the good people of Ashanti Region. He said so far the Chief Justice has been constructing over 100 court houses across the country, fortunately for our Region this is the fifty court house we have commissioned in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Regional Minister the Chief Justice has demonstrate that he is a visionary and he has development of the judiciary system at heart, minister said His Lordship Chief Justice Annin Yeboah has provided the greater number infrastructure for judiciary than any Chief Justice since the independence.
Going forward His Lordship Justice Annin Yeboah Chief Justice Republic of Ghana said he is much delighted to be here in person for the inauguration of this new building have a court which will served the people of Municipality of Mamponteng and its environment, since returned to constitution 1922, the judicial has try to improve on access to its rectification. He said they have moved away from traditional and administration view to border and move comprehensive motion or concept to have access to Justice, this has enable us to rectified whose structural and ideological obstacles that act as barrier to quiet number of people.
Again Chief Justice said that the Challenges of improving access to justice is quiet huge but we are intended on graving the storm and more forward with the developmental agenda, given the positive result needed by initiative and intervention’s we have taken which include innovations and application of technology. The Chief Justice also said that access to quality justice is the basic human right and chief means of defending all other constitutional guarantee right in freedom and ensuring accountability for people action and in actions notably crime committed and other forms of Abuse. Everyone has a right to defensive remedy which may takes different forms it is clearly
His Lordship Annin Yeboah implicit to obligation to respect and protect and defend Human right. indicate that the observant and enforcement of human right are therefore chief instrument for carving social and political unrest promoting law and order and stability and thereby creating enable environmental for attracting domestic and foreign direct investment.
On behalf of the Assembly and Nananom the MCE Hon. Opoku Agyemang Bonsu and Nana Kyerew Akenten, Queen mother of Mamponteng presented a stool, Kente cloth and Sheep to the Chief Justice as sign of appreciation and gratitude.
