THE KWABRE EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY RECRUITED INDIVIDUALS UNDER THE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AGENCY (SANITATION MODEL) ON THE 20TH OF NOVEMBER, 2025.
The Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has successfully recruited 30 individuals under the Youth Employment Agency’s (Sanitation Model), in compliance with government directives from the Common Fund Secretariat.
This recruitment exercise aims to enhance the Assembly’s sanitation efforts, particularly following the termination of the Zoom Lion contract.
On Thursday, November 20, 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Amankwah, addressed the newly recruited personnel, emphasizing the importance of diligence and dedication in their assigned duties. He reminded them that their employment is contractual, with an initial six-month duration, renewable based on performance and commitment to their responsibilities.
Hon. Amankwah highlighted that the MMDA’s have been authorized to recruit personnel to support the sanitation department in cleaning up the streets, underscoring the Assembly’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
He noted that this recruitment exercise is part of the government’s efforts to address unemployment among the youth while ensuring effective sanitation management in the municipality.
Madam Asana Moro, Municipal Environment Director, stated that the recruited personnel are expected to adhere to the Assembly’s guidelines and protocols.
She noted that regular assessments will be conducted to evaluate their performance and determine contract renewal.
Madam Asana assured the personnel that they will be deployed to various sanitation units within the municipality, and their progress will be monitored with feedback provided.
The Assembly is committed to supporting the personnel in their duties and looks forward to their contributions to maintaining a clean and healthy environment in Kwabre East Municipality.
